Contract Length: Permanent

Hours: 24 hours per week – times to be negotiated, flexibility offered

Salary: £25,000 p.a. pro rata

A vacancy has arisen in our Learning Enhancement Department, and we are looking to appoint a self-motivated and skilled Learning Enhancement Co-ordinator to join our team.

This role oversees the provision of additional learning support for a cohort of students (18+ years) with identified Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) who attend our courses at Spurgeon’s College, which include theology, ministerial training and counselling courses. The role also oversees the provision of support for those with English as an additional language (EAL).

The Learning Enhancement Co-ordinator will manage and work with a team of volunteers who provide 1-2-1 learning support for our SEND and EAL students.

The role will include a mixture of face to face and virtual meetings with students, depending on the issues at hand. Although home and flexible working will be offered as part of this role, there will be a requirement to be on site at arranged times in term time when students are in the building to provide face to face assistance.

Candidates will need to be able to demonstrate that they have a proven track record of working with adults with SEND, be an excellent communicator both orally and in writing and be able to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.

The role sits within the academic department and the Academic Director line manages the Learning Enhancement Co-ordinator role.
