Jill Parnham, MA
Jill’s home city is Liverpool. After studying Social Sciences at York University she moved to London to work in the voluntary sector in community development.
Following this, she worked with individuals and groups in a pastoral context for twenty years. She is fascinated by the power of relationships and the process of change whether in a community or individual settings.
The opportunity to embark on a professional counselling course arose in 2003 at Greenwich University; she completed the Masters programme in 2007.
She worked for ten years as a Counsellor in the NHS whilst maintaining a busy private practice and has experience of brief and long-term therapy.
An exciting third strand to her work involves training counsellors at Spurgeon’s at foundation and diploma level.
Jill is married with two daughters. She loves swimming, exercising and contemporary dance.
