We provide a number of Windows™ computers for students to use, and have specific areas in the Cloisters and the Library for computer work on your own equipment in peace and quiet. You may, of course, work in any of the student areas in college as we have strong and fast WiFi access throughout the site. In fact, the WiFi network is specifically designed for students who prefer to stay on the move and use tablets and smartphones!
The college's photocopiers allow you copy to the common paper sizes and the minor costs are automatically added to your student statement. The machines can also scan and email documents directly to your own student email account, helping to cut down on wasted paper and energy costs while adding convenience for you.
Hot lunches are provided as a courtesy to students on days when they have lectures. Special dietary requirements can be discussed and catered for. You are sure to get a sense of the history of the College when you sit to eat with friends and staff in the elegant wood-panelled dining room. The College's culinary needs are looked after by Charlton House, which was established in 1991 and provides catering for some of the nation's top companies. The company has recently been awarded the Royal Warrant for providing catering services to Buckingham Palace for the Royal garden parties.
The College has a tennis court within the grounds and students can often be found playing cricket or croquet on the large lawn. There are plenty of hills nearby for those of you that like to run or cycle. The near-by Lake makes a relaxing walk for the less energetic.
We have a number of single rooms which are available for the whole academic year or on a Bed & Breakfast basis and a small number of married flats down the hill in South Norwood. Availability is limited on all accommodation so please enquire and book early.
