Introduction to Counselling

We are pleased to be able to offer our popular Introduction to Counselling course, which runs on Thursday evenings from 7pm - 9.45pm. The Introduction to Counselling course is a 25 hour part time course.  It could be useful to you if you are involved in helping others within your church, or if you use counselling skills in your work or you just want to learn how to listen effectively.

What are the Aims?

·         To enable you to learn basic counselling skills.

·         To raise awareness of key ethical issues.

·         To help you consider whether counselling is something you want to pursue further.

What does it consist of?

·         An overview of Counselling Skills.

·         A brief look at the three main approaches to Counselling.

·         Opportunities to practice counselling skills.

·         A consideration of Christian Counselling models.

·         A look at practical and ethical issues.
