  • Association of British Theological and Philosophical Libraries (ABTAPL) - this website contains links to a number of useful resources in the area of Religious Studies and Philosophy.
  • ABTAPL Union List of Periodicals  - This  A-Z list of titles provides information on periodicals in Theology, Religious Studies and Philosophy held by 47 contributing Libraries of the Association of British Theological and Philosophical Libraries. It also includes links to free electronic journals.
  • ABTAPL Directory of Theological and Religious Collections - this searchable directory gives names and addresses of libraries and other institutions with relevant collections, including information about archive material.
  • Theological Heritage User Group (THUG) Union Catalogue - a free Union Catalogue of 8 theological colleges including International Christian College, Oak Hill College, Luther King House, Sarum College, St John's College Nottingham, Spurgeon's College, SEITE, and the Free Church of Scotland College.

  • Biblical Studies Notebook - Books, articles, web sites and other resources for biblical studies, including a very helpful description of the major biblical commentary series.

  • Codex Sinaiticus Online - This manuscript of the Bible, written in the middle of the fourth century, contains the earliest complete copy of the  New Testament.
  • COPAC - the combined catalogues of some of the major research libraries in the UK
  • Croydon Online Reference Services - By joining your local public library such as Croydon you can access, for free and from anywhere, databases such as the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography, Oxford Reference Online, Encyclopaedia Britannica, etc.

  • Internet for Religious Studies - a free internet tutorial from INTUTE covering internet research skills
  • Internet Theologian: A free "teach yourself" tutorial on the Web, teaching Internet information skills for theology.
  • INTUTE: Arts and Humanities gateway - a gateway to online resources within the subject fields of theology and religion. It is fully searchable and provides links to websites of primary and secondary source material
  • Christian Classics Ethereal Library: A major source of Christian texts, including the Church Fathers.
  • Medieval Church on the Web - an internet resource for studying the Church of the Middle Ages

  • New Testament Gateway - an excellent resource for studying all aspects of the New Testament, including some full-text books and journals.

  • University of Wales Online Library Resources: A set of databases and gateways/other links to resources in the subject area of theology and religious studies. Some of the resources listed are freely available to all but for others it is necessary to key in a user name and password. All students registered on a Wales course automatically receive log-in details once their registration has been processed.
